Promote Yourself: A Simple “How To”

You can use your profile link [drummerhunter.com/your username] to promote yourself quickly and easily OUTSIDE of Drummer Hunter. Yes! You can drive people to your profile.

Here are a few ways we’ve seen people kill it by using their Drummer Hunter profile link. (DH=Drummer Hunter)

1. Craigslist Is Your Friend
Craigstlist is a giant. It gets an average of 750 million visitors a month (take a look). That’s huge! Use this to your advantage and put your DH profile link in your postings. Those who do this see a ton of visits to their profile. Numbers are on your side!

2. Message Boards
Keep in mind each message board has a unique set of rules all their own and we don’t want anyone thinking your spamming the board. If you can, use your DH profile link in a message board posts. If you can’t, put your DH profile link in your Signature. Most boards allow the later and we also see a lot of traffic come to profiles who use this idea.

3. MySpace and Facebook
Obviously both of these sites have HUGE traffic. Facebook gets around 1 billion visits and MySpace about 2 billion visits (take a look: MySpace / Facebook) a month. Just like craigslist you can use their traffic to your advantage.

MySpace Classifieds:
Use your DH profile link here too, just like craigslist. Include it in your classified postings.

MySpace Comments:
Use your profile link in a comment on someone’s MySpace profile. Others will see it and click on through to your profile.

Facebook Groups and Pages:
Use your DH profile link in Wall posts on Pages or if you’re a member of various Groups use it in “Post A Link”.

4. Blogs
Use your DH profile link in comment posts or in your comment signature. People spend a lot of time reading these comments and will see and click on your DH profile link.
