The word from NME is Adam Ficek of Babyshambles (that band w/ Pete Doherty) will release a Christmas single called "Horses" under his solo moniker Roses, Kings, Castles. Is this news worthy? Perhaps by association but all the same it doesn't hurt to mention it.

Apparently a drummer (whose name is not being released) who used bongo heads imported from Africa has been exposed to Anthrax spores. He is in serious condition and may not recover. Doctors are certain that the spores came from his drum heads. Whoa. Bongo players beware, check your drum head ...

Conflicting reports out of San Diego suggest that either Ricky Parnet is dead from being shot during an attempted robbery or he just suffered a leg wound. Anyone know the story? Enuff Z'Nuff already. Yes, that was a bad outro.

Scissor Sisters, the flamboyant pop act that is now shifting gears to reggea on their new record have split with founding drummer Paddy Boom. No reasons were given and Randy 'Real' Schrager will replace him for the time being. Scissor Sisters Party Bus tells us so.
